Amniosin

Amniosin: Amniosin

Amniosin™ is a cryopreserved acellular human amniotic membrane-derived biological dressing. Due to containing of different biological factors, Amniosin™ has an important reconstructive role as a biological dressing.
Amniosin™ has proved to provide two elements to the chronic wound repair process:
1. Supply of different bioactive extracellular matrix components such as collagen, Fibronectin, Laminin, Proteoglycan and glycosaminoglycan.
2. Function as a permissive, performed, normal human matrix for keratinocyte and fibroblast migration and proliferation.

Indications and Clinical use:
Amniosin™ has been demonstrated in clinics for Corneal and conjunctival diseases:

Observed Clinical Effects:

  • Facilitate epithelialization
  • Reduce vascularization
  • Maintain normal epithelial phenotype
  • Reduce scarring
  • Reduce inflammation

As a graft for corneal diseases:

  • Persistent corneal epithelial defect with or without ulceration
  • Painful bullous keratopathy with erosion
  • Stevens- Johnson syndrome & Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis
  • Partial limbal stem cell deficiency
  • Chemical burns
  • Sterile corneal stromal thinning descemetocele & perforation
  • Band keratopathy, scar or tumor
